What does PDM stand for?
Two travel professionals have an idea: Worlds of experience beyond the well beaten tourist tracks. Travel agents are a dime a dozen. PDM, founded in 1993 in Vienna, wants to break new ground in tourism and event marketing. PDM - Power play by Robin Deisenhammer and Christian Märki.What was the original idea?
In the beginning PDM made a name for itself with extraordinary school class trips and high school graduation trips. Concepts from young people for young people. In Vienna, the heart of Europe and the city of balls, anything seems possible. Festivals such as the "Nacht der Fledermaus" (Night of the Bat) were organized. A ball where about 1000 visitors from all over the world danced through New Year`s Eve. PDM`s name quickly spread abroad. A success story begins.
...and where did it go from there?
According to the motto "Der Kongress tanzt" (the Congress dances: a comment about the Vienna Congress) it seems obvious that along with successful balls congresses could also be organized. Event marketing become more and more a core competence. Whether it is the sale of tickets for the Grand Prix or the concert of the century with José Carreras, Plácido Domingo and Diana Ross in Budapest, PDM works as fast as the Formula One cars. At the same time study and adventure trips for US high school students becomes a permanent mainstay.
Outlook!
In principle for PDM, the service oriented provider in the tourist branch, every customer is a challenge; because we can only be happy with satisfied customers. Our goal is to continually improve our service, learn more and develop further. To sit back and relax would be stagnancy and therefore what counts, also for the future, for those responsible for PDM is:
